Class A Fire Fighting Foam

First Strike Class A

Class A FoamFirst Strike is a synthetic firefighting foam designed for Class A applications which include structural fires, forest and wild land fires, landfill fires and tire fires. The chemical balance in First Strike reduces the surface tension of water, which increases the penetrating and wetting abilities of the water and making the water supply five times more effective than untreated water. First Strike superior foaming ability provides firefighters protection from exposure to fire and the ability to lay down fire breaks in wild land fire situations. First Strike is biodegradable, non-toxic, non-corrosive nor harmful to the environment.

Recommended Application Rates:

  • Structural Attack (Non-aspirated handling nozzle): 0.5%
  • Wild land Attack (Aspirated handling nozzle): 0.3%
  • CAFS (Compressed Air Foam System): 0.1%-0.3%
  • Aerial Attack (Fixed or Rotary Wing Systems- Bambi Bucket)- 0.3%-0.6% (These ratios are recommended only, because rates will vary depending on quality of foam blanket desired.)

Physical Properties:

  • Proportioning Ratio: 0.1%-1%
  • Specific Gravity: 1.03
  • pH: 7
  • Viscosity: 17
  • Shipping Specifications: 5 gal. (19 Liters.) 55 gal. drums (209 Liters.)
  • Storage Temperature: 32°F-122°F
  • Shelf Life: If properly maintained in the approved container and stored within the recommended range, then a shelf life of 25 years can be expected. If freezing occurs, thawing will make the product completely serviceable.

US Foam Wetting Agent

Foam Wetting AgentU.S. Wetting Agent is a liquid additive specifically designed to greatly reduce the surface tension of water thus reducing the extinguishing time when fighting Class A fires. By cutting knockdown time in half and reducing water consumption by as much as two thirds firefighters are exposed to the fire hazards for a much shorter period of time. This reduces the risk of injury to firefighters many times over. U.S. Wetting Agent ls designed to be used at I gallon of WETTING AGENT per 2000 gallons of water and the friction reducers in the formula greatly reduce friction loss in your hose lines. The rust inhibitors help prevent scaling and rust in your tanks and equipment. U.S. Wetting Agent has an indefinite shelf life when stored in the original containers. If freezing does occur, thawing will render the product completely serviceable.

Physical Properties:

  • Surface Tension: Less than 35 dynes
  • Specfic Gravity: 1.04
  • pH: 7.5
  • Viscosity: 20cs
  • Shipping Specifications: 5 gal. (19 Ltrs.) 55 gal. drums (209 Ltrs.)
  • Storage Temperature: 32- 122 degrees F
  • Shelf Life: When properly maintained in the original (or approved) container and stored within the recommended range, a shelf life in excess of 25
  • years can be expected.
  • Environmental:

This product DOES NOT contain any reportable agents under SARA TITLE III Section 313.

    U.S. Super High Expansion Foam

U.S. Super High Expansion Foam is a synthetic fire fighting foam concentrate specifically formulated for either low, medium, or high expansion foam generating equipment. It is recommended for use between 1% & 3% proportioning ratio. One gallon of U.S. Super High Expansion Foam will usually produce up to l000 gallons of foam, depending on the equipment used. This type of expansion is necessary when "TOTAL FLOODING" of an area is required. When used as a wetting agent on Class A fuels, it allows the water to penetrate the fire and extinguish deep seated fires quickly and effectively.

    Proportioning:

U.S. Super High Expansion Foam concentrate can be used at the proper proportioning ratio when using conventional proportioning equipment such as:

    • Balanced pressure and in-line balanced pressure pump proportioning equipment.
    • Balanced pressure bladder tank type proportioners.
    • Around the pump proportioners.
    • Hand line nozzles with eductors and pick up tubes
    • Fixed or portable in-line venturi proportioners

    Physical Properties:

    • Proportioning Ratio: 1%-3%
    • Specfic Gravity: 1.03
    • pH: 7.5
    • Viscosity: 9.1
    • Shipping Specifications: 5 gal. (19 Ltrs.) 55 gal. drums (209 Ltrs.)
    • Storage Temperature: 32- 122 degrees F
    • Shelf Life: When properly maintained in the original (or approved) container and stored within the recommended range, a shelf life in excess of 25 years can be expected. If freezing does occur, thawing will render the product completely serviceable.

    Environmental:

This product does not contain any reportable agents under SARA TITLE III Section 313.
